Medieval castle in Saaremaa
The earliest written record mentioning Kuressaare castle is from the 1380s. Some sources claim that the first castle was built of wood. As the inhabitants of Saaremaa put up stiff resistance to foreign efforts to Christianise them, the castle was undoubtedly built as part of a wider effort by the crusaders to gain control over the island

That looks like a relaxed and tranquil place. Are there visits to the inside of the castle... and if so, do they allow photographs inside?
@trincowski unfortunately the museum inside was close by that time. They close very early. Taking photos inside is most probably allowed, being a public treasure and all :) I don't see why they would not allow that
Oh, I was in Munich, not long ago... and I refused to enter the Castles because they didn't allow photos inside.
