Period over Comma

A period is a sign of hope. It is a signal for a new beginning. It may be used to change direction as if changing a topic. It doesn't always mean the "end." Most of the time, it tells us that something needs to stop simply because it's the best thing to do. But unlike a period, the comma can only stick to one topic, unwavering, never-ending, on a loop, forming a cycle, always in repeat, or in other words, boring.

Some say that they would rather choose the comma for they do not want anything to end, so that nothing has to stop. Think about it as your life. If one only has to pause his life and repeat it once again, how will he be able to cope up with the tragic events that repeatedly occur? What would he do if he was able to witness a lot of births and a lot of deaths? Would he be able to make himself numb and used to the pain and agony they bring? If he would use a comma in his life, he may focus on one thing but can never redirect his life if that one thing he chose was not really what he wanted. If that happens, can he live his life on repeat?

People are created with a thirst. A thirst that can only be quenched if they were able to get everything they ever wanted. A comma cannot do that for its purpose is only to focus on one thing. What people need to quench their thirst to explore something new is to stop, and try a new subject, which can only be done by a period.
A period provides no leftovers; nothing to go back to; not even the feeling of guilt and conscience that refrains one to move forward. A period's purpose is to make someone stop with whatever he's doing, and proceed to take another step without looking back. Moreover, if someone wants to remember and recall the things that he had done in the past, there can only be one way to do it; also with the help of a period.

Just like what is written on the first part of this composition, a person may create a lot of choices from different varieties of categories and he may be able to pick more than one but with one choice at a time. If the person does not want to alter his path, there's no problem. Just like in writing a paragraph, there are more than one period that groups the sentences together but they all talk about only one topic.

This is how much a period can do. So if ever you are given a choice, choose a period.
