The slowest things in the world...

in #criticism8 years ago

One of the biggest criticisms I receive besides talking too much is taking too long to get to ready and to get things done.

I tried everything but i really can't help it, i'm not really good at managing time and i prefer to take things slow but right.

I lost friends because of that and many people get angry at me because they feel that when i arrive late or they waittoo long for me to arrive, is a disrespect to them...and they are right, i should manage my time better, but it always has been a huge difficulty to me.

This year one of the things i'm going to work on my personality, will be trying to arrive on time.

And why, am i posting this? Because today i arrived late again, and my friend was angry at me for waiting 20 minutes :/ Basically what he said is resumed in this picture:

ahaha, a woman is always slow getting ready, but its ok, because that means she will be more beautiful.

Interesante, gracias a ti y a @steemit por permitirme dar la informacion.. feliz noche. saludos.

One thing you can try and arrive early versus on time. I always schedule myself to be somewhere 15 minutes before I actually need to be and place it on my calendar like that.

You are not alone

Pretty nice post! I have a friend like you but I´m used to her times.

Time management for some people is exceptionally difficult, a good trick to accomplish it is to make time management a habit, and this is no easy task. Set yourself a daily schedule and work from that. What I do is I set my smartphone's calendar with appointments and times that I need, and I have a notification that reminds me a couple days prior, and 2 hours prior for the same thing. This way I'm never surprised by it and the 2 hours gives me plenty of time to make sure I've got everything squared away that I need to have ready before I make said appointment.

It's also best to arrive a little early, than a little late, so never wait last minute to go somewhere. If you're meeting a friend, the friend probably showed up a few minutes earlier than the scheduled "meet me" time. You can meet them a few minute searly too and things can proceed as planned. ^__^

Hope this helps.

As a ex-truckie, I've always had to be on time at the start of working days. To do this I have listed things to do by importance to my job first, then to list that, truck first, then supplies for nights away, then laundry, then check calendar that days away are not involving other areas of life such as bank or vehicle, then if bank is running alright and vehicle is alright, I know rent and bills are paid by bank, and the vehicle will get me to truck-yard and there be secure until I return. It seems pedantic, but ticking off the list of needs for the job at hand, deals with all the little jobs as a BTW, and when I return, I know there is maybe a Bank visit required, laundry and supplies to get, and then I'm free to go party or whatever, having two, or three days if lucky, see people drink too much and then be sober at 3am for another delivery journey.
Of course it's much easier retired, but I still get done the important list before doing any of the relaxing luxuries. Keep on keeping on. 😇
