Comedy Open Mic Round #18: The Day I Met My Idol.

LOCATION: In a bar somewhere in ALT CITY.

TIME: 2052, Evening.

Over the last 43 years, blockchains have seemingly surged from nowhere and in the same manner they have taken over the World. No not in the evil laugh kind of way, although they could have if they wanted to as they now provided 74% of the World's employment and they had good relationships with their employees. Which made them very popular and now more than ever since they had just helped solve the fabled time travel mystery.

Brief History:

Back in 2031 a certain group of scientist were trying to launch a shuttle to Venus but, unfortunately the shuttle exploded at takeoff and barbecued all the scientists but one, Mr F. Sad story but no relevancy here. What's relevant is that where the shuttle had exploded, a huge wormhole was left and from it studies were conducted that ultimately led to the first travel in time in 2038.

But at the time, a few issues still needed solving. Each time they would make a jump, history changed, cataclysmic disasters would follow and each time a new dimension would be created. 3 Earths had already been created with the same shape, form and greed, making it a total of 4. Another issue is that since the data changed each time, there couldn't be any proper access or communication, which meant there was no way to exploit each other's scarce resources as they were different on each Earth.

Now enter, the TSM blockchain founded by TSM.inc. Hailed as heroes for creating the first ever blockchain mined through the sun's rays, they still sought to facilitate advancement. They quickly saw an opportunity to push the boundaries once again and decided to take up the challenge. They were trying to see if coating their innovative technology over the time portals and in their algorithms could work.

Here are some simplified calculations they had to do: Sunny terminology + Blockchainy terminology + Another one to maximize it's SBP(Sun Backed Power), then x Time machiny terminology.
And unbelievably, once again they had achieved the impossible! They had managed to connect the 4 dimensions in such a way that the timelines wouldn't get noticeably distorted after a jump, and all of that at an affordable price.

They named it blockania and oh my was it a huge overnight success!! Needless to say that after this development the conspiracy theorists finally left the basements, that countless disasters were avoided and that even more lives were saved. Buuut... it's also worth mentioning that crimes became even more calculated, more affairs ''never'' happened and criminals started jail breaking their younger selves. Smh And that's why we can't have nice things.

So I'm there cooling, sipping with my best friends Bakame who is one of the most coveted crypto shillers around(yes they still do exist) plus Kwame and Django(no one knows what they do, not even their mom) Actually no need to get attached to them, no relevancy to plot. So yeah, I'm just chilling when enters Mr.4o4 the man behind blockania himself. Yes, it was him! I couldn't believe my eyes but, it really was him right in front of me!

Being the humble, distinguished philosopher and all around good guy that I am, I immediately rushed to him to ask him a couple questions that I knew he needed to hear.

Me: 😃 Excuse me sir, my name is John could I please get your bautograph and if possible could I also ask you a few questions?🤔

Mr.4o4: Sure, anything for a fan. 😁

Ok, yeaah I hadn't been expecting such a warm welcome.

Me: Sir I understand you're trying to use the AIs to prevent and if needed combat the rampant interdimensional crime syndicates but, isn't it prohibited to purposely teach AIs about morality or weaponry? Couldn't they just decide we're not worth it and they wage war against us? Also, with the amount of energy needed to mine blockchainia, isn't that gonna drain the sun at a faster rate? Hence leading to our universe dying much earlier than it is supposed to?

Mr.4o4: ...🙂😐😠😡 Listen you little twerp!! Whether we like it or not AIs will be highly militarised, might as well get informed and if possible get some tokens from them. 😡 And instead of sprouting your self-righteous crap, spend your time finding a loyal AI to pet and that might protect you when they finally wage war!! And as for the sun dying out, it has to eventually, so might as well put it out of it's misery!!😡

.... Never mind what I had thought of him at first, not only did he needlessly scream my ears off, but he just left like that and he didn't even sign me a bautograph or acknowledge his mistakes. 🙁 Guess it's true what they say, your hero might just turn out to be an ahole when you finally meet them. He still my idol though.

It's not so weird is it? Besides, I've noticed that people and the good things tend to gravitate towards aholes.... Matter of fact you know what? I think I want to become an ahole.
