According to the source, reinforcements from all over northwestern Syria were ordered to redeploy to the Hama Governorate for the next Syrian Arab Army push into southern Idlib. This move by the Iranian military comes just weeks after the U.S. administration accused Iran of preparing to launch an attack on the American forces in the Middle East. Three French 'Daesh members' sentenced to death in Iraq - reports
Published 2019-05-27 05:02:12 by News Desk in IraqAccording to an official, a court in Iraq sentenced three French residents to death after they were found guilty of joining the Daesh* terrorist group. Kevin Gonot, Leonard Lopez and Salim Machou were captured in Syria by a US-backed group fighting the terrorists. They are the first French Daesh members to receive death sentences in Iraq, where they were transported to for the court trial. In 2014, vast swathes of Iraq were seized by Daesh. At the end of 2017, then-Iraqi Prime Minister Haider Abadi declared an end to the country's fight against the terror group as Iraqi troops re-established complete control over the country's border with Syria.
