"Achievement 4 by @amena05 Task: Applying Markdowns"
Hello! Hope everyone is doing well.
I’m here to present my achievement 4 Task, where I’ll be talking about how to apply Markdown.
To make your content look good and presentable, you have to make sure that you are following all the rules and regulations of markdown so people can engage in your post. Let's discuss some Markdown skills that we can use:
Headline
First we talk about the Headlines. How headlines are an important part of your content as it makes it easy for the readers to read it. I’ll go through how to create different sizes of headlines for your post. You can start your headline by using # key followed by Headline written. As you increase the number of # keys, your headline font will decrease accordingly. For instance:
Good Morning
Good Morning
Good Morning
Good Morning
How to Align Text in Two Cells
By adding the following, you can make your text appear both left and right. It is so that you can post your content both left and right. It is more suitable for such type of content where you have to make a comparison between two different things. This is how to align your text by adding less than symbol <, write div class, an equal sign = and then "pull-right" written and ending it with greater than sign > then write whatever you want and end it by adding less than symbol <, slash sign /, write div and end it with greater than sign > and your sentence that you like to write. Below is the example shown on left and right text alignment:
Another way of applying markdown to align your text is to put it in the center. This is how you align your text in the center by using less than symbol < and then write center after the sign and then add greater than symbol > followed by the text you would like to add and finishing it off with the same way by using less than symbol <, then add slash sign / and write center and in the end add the greater than symbol >. Keep in mind that there should be no spacing while you add the symbols. This way your text will appear at the center. Below is the example shown:
How to align images
This is also on the most important markdown, which is to align your image in the center, left or right. While creating a content this feature gives an extra point to your post and looks good to the eyes of readers. This is how you align the picture left, right or center.
This is an example of my picture that I have aligned it to the left. I did this by adding less than symbol < followed by div class then equal sign = and then "pull-left" and finishing it with greater than symbol > then add the link of your image. After adding the link we finish it by less than symbol <, a slash sign /, write div and greater than symbol >. In the same way I can align my picture to the right by using the same method, but instead of the word left we'll use right and we'll get our result. This is how to do it. In the same way I have aligned my picture to the right. I did it the same way by adding less than symbol < followed by div class then equal sign = and then "pull-right" and finishing it with greater than symbol > then add the link of your image. After adding the link we finish it by less than symbol <, a slash sign /, write div and greater than symbol >. Remember not to use space in between the symbols while aligning to the left or right.Using Blockquotes
This is a tool where we use to quote or highlight something that someone has said. To use this, we have to put the symbol > followed by the quote that you'd like to mention in inverted commas . For example:
"It is during our darkest moments that we must focus to see the light"
-Aristotle
Using Italics
This is also one of the way of creating a different Markdown style. You can give your text an italic font as well by simply just adding an asterisks sign * at the start and end of your sentence. Have a look at the example below:
I would like to go to the beach this weekend
Creating Table
Next up is how to create a table. This can be used in your post as well and it gives an idea of explaining things better. Below is an example shown on how to create a table:
Singular | Plural |
---|---|
Book | Books |
Thankyou @cryptokannon for the detailed explanation.
