Сatbird. Which bird will be next?

I looked through photos of birds and did not know what reference to take next. My daughter came up to me and pointed a finger)) And here before you Сatbird.

I use the watercolor "Nevskaya Palitra": ultramarine, burnt sienna. Ink black. Paper Palazzo 280g / m2, 70% cotton.

First of all, I put a silhouette of a catbird in pencil. I don’t have a little tail in the size of the sheet, but I think that I can leave it. And I take watercolor in my hands.

For a start, I type ultramarine where the feathers are white in thrush, and the burnt sienna is where the feathers are cast brown. And I apply ink on wet paper with dots and strokes. I missed the point when it was necessary to add salt, so the effect of salt did not turn out, because the paint has dried.

So I decided to add a few details with a dry brush with black ink. In some parts of the body of a bird, I dilute ink with water. Carefully I pass through the feathers, leaving a small understatement))) And I turn to the surface of the earth and the paws. In a couple of movements, I plan claws and add some gray feathers under the tail.

And to logically finish the work, I add an inscription. A little crooked, but I sketch and I allowed myself)))
