in Project HOPE4 years ago

Hello Everyone

Almost two weeks back I had published a post about one of the topics from the book by Dale and it was about mistakes of ours that we need to talks first and how it can help us to get people on our side.

As I already mentioned in my previous post that I am back to book reading mode but this time it took quite long for me to finish the chapter. It is so much fun because whatever I read in the book, I do it with full concentration, and this way I thoroughly enjoy reading. These days I am reading the book by Dale Carnegie and book title is "How to win friends and influence people"

Last week I shared one post and that topic was certainly very good. Now here in this post, I am back again to talk about another topic out of this wonderful book by Dale Carnegie. I must mention that Dale has been such a great writer and he has written these useful chapters over 70 years back and even now all these are very helpful for us to learn and grow as a person in life.

Many thanks to @crypto.piotr for this great initiative and allowing reading this book and learning to get something useful out of the book. I also like to thanks @juanmolina for suggesting a wonderful world of knowledge. This book has a lot to read and this is something that we should read with full concentration so that these topics we understand better and implement in our life. I can see some of my fellow author's sharing their reads and its great that the entire community is going through this world of knowledge

If you are wrong, admit it quickly and emphatically.

This line is so simple has a very deep meaning and its up to us how we take it and follow in our lives. Being a human its obvious that we will commit the mistakes or do things wrongly. There is nothing wrong unless we try to keep ourselves in a position when we dont want to admit it. Sometimes I have seen people who try to put their mistakes on someone else so that they dont get the blame for it which is ethically wrong and should not happen.

A great leader is the one not just admit his mistakes but even takes the ownership of his subordinates so that people show faith in him and do not feel left alone when they need him the most. Now in this chapter Author, Dale tries to explain in an easy and simple way that we should admit our mistake immediately without giving it a second thought and when we do the same then we move forward and start to figure out the ways to correct it and also to ensure that this should not be repetitive.

I also think that many times its EGO that comes in between that stops us to admit the wrong we did and this EGO is very bad. There is no harm if we admit what we do and this way even people show some respect to us and appreciate our act but on the other hand trying to get away and not showing accepting behavior make things worse.

This is one of the best-selling books by Dale and even after 70 years, it has a huge audience who likes his thoughts and experiences even now in the year 2020.

I will start reading another topic and will share about it in my next post.

Thank you so much for your time.

good article, one of the things that one values is to make you responsible for our actions if they are wrong you have to assume the error and proceed to the correction

Absolutely. We need to realize the mistake and work to correct it.

Dear @alokkumar121

Another interesting piece of work buddy. Reading reviews posted by our community members is a great reminder of those lessons I've learned while reading this particular book myself.

One thing that has been obvious to me for very long time, is that we all seem to fear admiting to be wrong. We think that it will affect us only in negative way and that people will look down at us.

However, being able to admit it does usually cause very reverse effect - people will respect us even more.

Yours, Piotr

Hi @crypto.piotr

Glad that you like the post.

what you said is absolutely correct because people think that if they accept the mistake then it will affect them but the reality is different. Its not easy to accept the mistake and work towards its correct but still many people try to avoid it.

thank you so much.

Absolutely, it is only sane for a person who is wrong to admit to his or her flaws, admitting that we are wrong implies that are not proud and we can easily take to corrections.

There is nothing wrong if we admit but most people try to avoid it. Thanks.

Really interesting piece, accepting that we are wrong after an offence is a really noble way to get more people to love and respect us.

Glad that you liked it buddy and this book is so nice. Thank you.
