Durian CSA in Hawaii - this week's delivery - ORANGE DURIAN
Durian season just started and we got our first drop off of Orange and Golden Durian from the local durian CSA at Asante Gardens... we are excited to open and eat these through out the week. Right now.. Our bellies are full from Eating a Monster 11 lbs Monthong Durian that made our neighborhood stink for the last couple days before opening it.. check it out!
I had to step on it, to get it to start cracking open... this one is Ripe!!
I cut my hand in the process pretty bad, opening it, but it was well worth it and amazing to eat

We hate mcdonalds.. love durian.. I had it for the first time in Thailand.. Now, I live in hawaii and eat it as much as possible! So good.. I am blessed to have friends with durian farms. Most people here dont like it, but the people that do, are usually obsessed and will don anything for a bite.. drool
someday I will try durian
