Cutting off time
Hi,
as I wrote in my latest post, I see that I need to do some better time management.
As the price of Steem is low and might go lower, I see a lot of people taking a break. Which is fine, as their time can be recovered, neither mine.
I decided yesterday to spend a maximum of 1 hour/day on Steem related tasks, from posting and reading to the games that I play. I split the time in two chunks, each for 30 minutes, one in the morning when I usually write and one in the evening.
That is it, as it will help me be more efficient and have a better ROI on my time. For me, family is on top and I feel I need to spend more time with them. To achieve this, I need to be more efficient in my daily routine.
I will not quit Steem, as I see the potential, will just reduce the time spent on it. Might sound selfish, and let me tell you a secret, it is selfish. And it does not hurt to say it loud and admit to it.
So, here is a question for you, how much time do you spend on a daily basis on Steem?
I stay a long time, between two and eight hours ... huge. Causes: I try to interact with as many as possible, I have to read, I comment. Then I have to write, select photos, translate, check the translation ... my problem is that I use English from memory, I try hard not to make grammatical or word mistakes. This is a big time consumer.
Unfortunately, the results are not proportional to the effort so I will reduce much of the activity. I will make smaller and rarer posts.
I don't know exactly. it's hard to say.

It varies, for me but I too need to cut back.
Maybe that isn't a bad thing, maybe if more of us just treat it like a social media site that helps.
Time will tell.
Good on you for being selfish with your time and directing it where you want it to go.
Efficiency does not necessarily mean selfishness. Family first is a paradigm that should be to any business. Which does not mean that family interactions might not also be handled „effiently“. I mean: quality time instead of just spending many hours.
