Verdaccio is a lightweight private npm proxy registry!
Today is the fourth day with Verdaccio... I see green. Smell green. I'm becoming green...
(Slap in the face) Wake up soldier, you can do it! You can make another meaningful post.
Speaking of the green Devil, I was testing my weird camera lens:
Just look at this crazy bokeh!
What could I tell you in this post... Right! I will tell you more about our strange writing system
In the Serbian language, we are using two types of writing, Latin and Cyrillic. Or in the original ћирилица.
Ћирилица is used in East Slavic languages (Russian, Belarusian, Ukrainian and Rusyn), among Southern Slavs (partially in Croatia and Bosnia, Montenegro, Serbia, Bulgaria, Macedonia (not the Greek Macedonia :D , the State of Macedonia)), in several Uralic languages (Karelian, Komi...), several Iranian languages (Kurdish, Ossetian...), in Mongolian, and about 20 more! link
In Serbia, the majority of population is using Cyrillic on daily basis and it's really handy when you want to write something quickly. Everything is very fluid and you don't need to raise the pencil at all. Latin is a bit more difficult due to: š, đ, ž, č, ć.
However, when we want to write something like a sign, Latin letters are more "edgy".
For example: POLICIJA (police) vs ПОЛИЦИЈА
Bonus fact, if you want to learn how to read/write Serbian (and all other Slavic languages), it's very easy due to a simple rule: one letter = one sound.
Just imagine our horror when we need to read something like French: Aujourd'hui (today).
In Slavic, it would be Ожурди. Only 6 letters instead of 11?! Not bad...
Contribution Specifications
- Translation Overview
Total amount of words: more than 10.000
It will be future documentation, translated to Serbian language, both with Cyrillic and Latin letters.
There are two benefits: to have the text in Cyrillic, pleasing to many users from Serbia, and more important - to do the double check and make it absolutely typo free.
- Languages
The first milestone is to translate it to Serbian Latin.
- Word Count
The whole project counts more than 10.000 words, and today I'm presenting the Part IV.
Many thanks to my LM, @scienceangel
