500!!!
Thank you for everyone so far that have followed my photographic journey thus far on Steemit. I just hit 500 followers since joining in December! Wow! For those of you that don't know me, I work in the film industry on tv shows in the camera department. In my spare time I've been honing up my photography skills. Steemit has been such a wonderful resource for growth, support, and motivation.
Since joining, I've become part of such an amazing community of photographers. I've especially enjoyed my @photogames crew who have kept up my creative bug and pushed me to do projects and edits I wouldn't have thought of otherwise. Also thank you to @juliank for being the stepping stone into the photography community with daily photo contests and posts showcasing so many other wonderful photographers to follow. And of course @photofeed, also for the lovely daily posts of great photographers to follow, and the occasional resteem of my own posts followed by a great deal of killer exposure. Finally a social media platform I don't completely suck at! Haha.
Next step is to learn how to actually blog along with the photos. ;)
Can't wait to see what the future holds!

PS-I made my photography Instagram account (@maskitout) a year ago and I can't even reach 200 followers. It seems like every time I gain followers, I loose the same amount, if not more. So many fake people that add you just to get you to follow them and then if you don't follow back, they unfollow you....and even when you follow back they'll STILL unfollow! Uuuugh. Frustrating. I follow people because I like what they post. Tired of shallow social media, sooooo I'm very happy to have found Steemit where the majority of followers will actually make comments and engage with other people with a sincere interest. What a wonderful community.
Woohoo! Congrats on 500! Agreed that this is by far the least frustrating and most engaged social media platform in my experience. Here's to 500 more!
