Hi everyone,

Steem Login is a service that among other things allows you to create quick access links for some types of transactions, allow users to do things like delegate SP, vote for witnesses or transfer STEEM simply by entering a link and signing the transactions.

As you know, the Steem Login service provided by @future.witness went down a few weeks ago, and many of you have been asking how to do delegations of SP without it. In this post, I'm going to show you how to do this using a different method. It's a bit more complicated, but it's still doable.

How to delegate

The witness @steemchiller provide probably the most useful tool in Steem, and it is called Steem World. We will use it to create the operation to delegate and we will use Steem Keychain, a tool maintained by korean community to broadcast this operation safely.

Please take note that a computer is required. If you don't know Steem Keychain please read here

The first step will be go to your SteemWorld profile, for this just type the url in your browser like this:

replace [USERNAME] with your steem account ID.

Being there you need to find and click on Delegations buttom.

lg2.PNG

You will have a full section to see outgoing, incoming, and expiring delegations. We will use the Delegate... buttom.

lg3.PNG

This will open a window where we can set the account we are going to delegate, and the amount in SP. I will add a delegation to @teamvenezuela this time.

lg4.PNG

Then click 'Ok'. The next window will ask you to use Steem Keychain or not. If you set no you will can delegate introducing your private active key, in other hand in you say yes keychain will appear in the equation.

lg6.PNG

You will need to have your account configured in your Steem Keychain, if you don't know about it please read the post I shared above. If you are done Keychain will request you to complete the operation.

lg7.PNG

When you click confirm it is done, you can go then to outgoing delegations and check the result there.

You can also edit or revoke any delegation here using active key or Steem Keychain.

I hope Steem Login get back soon cause this is the easier method to do this, from now, delegations are still possible with this method!

Thanks for reading,

@alejos7ven, please don't share any type of tutorial posts. This is against our rule.

Hi, as this post says it is allowed:

Content that can be posted on this platform
Important tutorial.

https://steemit.com/hive-150122/@nusuranur/steem-alliance-community-is-now-restricted

Please clarify this

I understand, I was following the first one, however I can’t see anything related to tutorials only saw this:

  • Any important updates shared by community moderators or admins will be curated.
  • Important updates or development posts of any type of app/project will be curated.
  • We will curate blockchain related articles.

And my post is intended to share information:

  • With other mods related to Steem Login and Steemworld.
  • Informing community about the bug Steem Login is facing.
  • Spreading information about Steem blockchain.

So I think it is inside the rules,

Could you please check the content of my article and let me know if I’m wrong?

Thanks again and looking forward for the information to understand it better! 😊

No, first of all we have to understand a thing why we stopped this type of content.

  • Firstly, In SA all are reputed Admin and Moderators of different communities right? No one is a newbie here. So, users here are experienced and pro steemians.

  • Secondly, to Stop spam posting, like you gave a tutorial, many can follow you the same way and publish tutorial on different functions on steemworld.org, and we already faced and still facing those type of situations here.

  • And lastly, your article not exactly fall into a category we allowed.

Important updates mean - Any type of development inside a community.

Related to development of a app/project - like sharing any new project or app developed for example you can take steem Pro. Not a tutorial about a certain function of an app/site.

Crypto and blockchain - knowledgeable articles about the working process and environment of a crypto and blockchain. Or recent developments in crypto which affects it momentum (any news/price analysis).

Although steemworld.org is a tool, which we use to get data it is useful but not directly related to steem I mean it stops or work maybe it will affect user, but it is not a inevitable part of the steem blockchain, and steem blockchain don't relay on it to function properly.

And another thing, this is not a new tool site, it is a much old site, working from years and there are a lot of tutorials available, so it is unnecessary.

Thanks for your valuable time! - Now I understand better. Despite I not 100% agree with you, I will make sure to follow the guideline.
