Steemit for communities and good causes
Last month when I was in Tirana Albania, I was asked to host a founders’ breakfast for female founders. It was received well and we went on TV :) Two girls took it over as Women Founders' Meetup.
I started thinking about financing it with Steemit. The cost of the breakfast was around 20 Euro. It’s not unrealistic to host 1-2 times of breakfast by posting about gatherings, members’ business and stories and increasing supporters on Steemit.
To use Steemit for a community, I enjoy reading posts by @steemitniigata, a community account of a city in Japan. Not only building the Tirana Female Founders’ Breakfast community but also I dream about Leipzig community.

To use Steemit for a project or a good cause, posts by @surfermarly, one of the speakers at Steem Fest 2 and her @dreamsoftheocean or a post by @papilloncharity “Bringing light and happiness to little orphans in South Africa”, which @inoue and @boxcarblue resteemed yesterday are good examples.

I realize that Steemit has a potential to support communities and good causes.
One difficult thing about using Steemit for the Tirana Female Founders’ Breakfast community is that cryptocurrencies are not popular yet in Albania. I’m not sure there is an exchange that is capable to transfer money to a local bank account.
I will talk about this idea to girls who took over the gathering. And good thing is that we may have chance to visit Tirana again next spring :)
先月アルバニアの首都ティラナにいた時に女性起業家の朝ご飯の集まりをホストしない？と言われてお手伝いしました。かかったお金は2500円ほど。月1-2回の開催、一回あたり2000円くらいだと、Steemitにアカウントを作って活動報告やメンバー紹介をしつつサポーターを増やしつつSteemitでファイナンスできたりするのではと思いました。
Steemitをコミュニティーに使いたい場合、新潟のコミュニティー @steemcityniigata が参考になりそうです。ティラナの女性起業家コミュニティーだけでなく今住んでいる街にも Steemit コミュニティーがあったらいいなあと思いつつ活動やコミュニティーをオーガナイズする方法拝見しています。

ティラナの女性起業家の集まりについてSteemitとの親和性を考えつつ、改めてSteemitってコミュニティーの運営やプロジェクトに活用できる可能性を秘めているなあと思う次第です。
ひとつ難しそうなのは、アルバニアではまだ仮想通貨や取引所が普及していないところなのですが、来春またティラナに行く話が持ち上がりつつあり、この辺引き継いでくれた人たちに話しつつ次回のティラナ行に向けて動けたらいいな :)
