Hello World!

My Engwish suxs, so no laugh at me post but, I gotz da big boobs yah! :)

All jokes aside...

I'll try to keep this intro short and sweet.
I'm planning on living here in the Steem world for the long haul.
So I kindly ask people to follow/subscribe for any of my future posts and updates!
Of course, that all hinges on if you like me or not after this post :)

O.K., Real video proof of me...

Please check out this video I created, it's only 1 minute...

Audio in this video was produced by Fresh Water Ninjas

STEEM, as we all know, has the AMAZING potential of changing the landscape we call Social Media.
Needless to say... I'm glad to be part of this exciting movement!
Currently I live in the beautiful area of Charleston, South Carolina. So if there's anyone near me who'd like to talk shop, give me a shout!

A little bit'o me

Well, I like to dabble in just about anything and everything, if time permits! lol
I consider myself a Jack Of All Trades.
I know, it's cliche... but true.

I'm a single, full time father raising my son.
So first and foremost is my time being spent hanging out with him. His name being Aiden.
I honestly can say that him changing my life for the best would be an understatement! I know you here that a lot from parents but, he's taught me "A new level of patience", as I like to call it.
Everyday I make sure to emphasize to him about keeping a positive outlook of life. No matter how crazy this world gets or how much he doesn't like a certain situation.

Outside of that... there's no doubt in my mind he has inherited the love of Music from me.
For his eighth birthday I bought him his first piano and he's been loving it ever since.
He's come a long way with his study's of the Ivory Keys. He willingly practices almost daily while also creating his own music, which is really cool and he has a very creative mind!
Just a few months back he played a Live Jazz-Jam for his school which was hosted at a local restaurant located in downtown.
I'd love to share that video with you guys but, I'm still editing it.

So in the meantime, here is a somewhat recent recital video...

Ok, things I like to do...

Play Guitar.

This is certainly considered more of a hobby, but below are two songs I have recently been working on.
Just so you know, I played to a digital drum beat, record it and place all the pieces together. I'm hoping I can invest some more time into this skill... (wish STEEM would allow the embedded SoundCloud player to work! Hint Hint)

Play Drums

This is my favorite instrument.
I just love getting behind a set of drums and Going to Town on them.
Drumming just comes so natural to me... at times. I'm no professional by any stretch of the imagination.
What sparked my interest in drums?
I can still remember to this day, while in my Grandmothers kitchen around the age of eight or so, we'd had a conversation going about the musicians of our family and she'd asked me
"So, do you know what instrument you'd like to start playing? I know you like playing the piano when you visit here. Is that something you'd like to do because I can start teaching you more of it?"
I just stood there processing every type of instrument through my head once she'd asked me that question.

After what seemed like a 10 minute time lapse, I had spoken up. "Yes. I think I know what I'd really enjoy. I think playing some drums, since that's what I always pay attention to while listening to music"

"Hogwash" she says. "Your great Uncle Rue was a drummer. He had played for years while never mastering them. It's a very complicated and skilled instrument. There's no way you'll enjoy something that takes that long to learn! Aren't you sure you wouldn't like something else to play?"

LOL! WTF!
I was slightly taken back to what she had just said.
I swore I heard it more as "Kid, you ain't got skills for that shit" LOL.

So I guess that was my driving force to wanting to learn and play drums.
I just wish I had more time/space to play on a continuous basis.
Oh well, life goes on!

Production/Editing

I also enjoy working with sound and more recently, learning some video editing.
But damn, it takes a whole lot of time if you're not knowledgeable or proficient of the software you're using.

I was editing the Beyond Bitcoin Hangouts that @officialfuzzy is doing with the BitShares (and now STEEM) community.
Here is my last edited Hangout

My BitShares name is: Emailtooaj

I truly enjoy working with Fuzzy on this project. He's an amazing person to work with and I really enjoyed those behind the scene conversations. No insider trading, or anything like that. Just good conversations.
That boy can talk!!!!!

Which BTW @officialfuzzy call me when you're free... you friggin' shit head!

Continuing... I created a number of intro's for the show... though I think they could be better, and I would split out each person's voice in the conversation (of the Raw audio recording) into separate tracks on a free DAW software program called Reaper.

From there I would then try to beautify each persons voice along with splitting out any dead spaces of the conversations.
After spending about 6-8hrs of time processing for 1 hours worth of audio, I would then mix, master and render the recording along with my intro and BOOM! It's done! Then post to SoundCloud.

I haven't edited any recent shows because I really wanted to delve into and start learning Adobe for video production. I really want to get into the creative video side to start building visual content.
Adobe has a very step learning curve and I can easily state that I'm still a noob!!

So for my first exercise, I wanted to start working on a tutorial for the BitShares Mobile Wallet.

Kencode and Chris4210 of the OPENPOS project was willing to let me dive in and be their guinea pig for this BitShares Mobile Wallet Install video. I've yet to receive any hate mail, so I guess it's all good?

Here they are if you'd like to watch'em...
PS- Please keep in mind, these will be outdated soon. Ken has a newer version of the Mobile Wallet and I'm starting to lay that project out. Once done it'll get them posted onto STEEM"

By forcing myself to learn the Adobe programs via "brute force" tactic, I decided to create an animated/visual BitShares logo from scratch.
Not the copy-n-paste video template bullshit you find on the Internets'.
Ironically... it still turned out to look that way anyways LOL

Here's that project...

So my ultimate goal is to do a "What is BitShares/Graphene" animated graphic video of sorts.
I guess I'll need to add STEEM onto the "To-Do" list also Haha!

I've been recycling this vision in my head of exactly how it should look, what steps to take, all while trying to make it simple to explain exactly what and how the Graphene technology can be applied.
I strongly believe that once people are able to grasp this concept, their paradigm will shift dramatically and the world will gravitate with them!

Ok, so this post is getting a bit to long!

So there you have it.
That's my story and I'm sticking with it!
Well... 1/537th of my story anyway.

You'll definitely be seeing me around these parts.

I kindly ask for you to please UP-Vote my introduction if you liked it...

or, if you didn't. Then still please Up-Vote :)

I plan on writing more about my life stories and lessons in future posts.
So I would be honored if you'd choose to join and Follow me.

If you don't, well... I probably wouldn't like you anyways!!

You'll never know what surprises I may throw out here.

Peace!

Ha ha, great post! Not at all what I first thought it was based on the title & pic... Had even avoided opening it first time I saw, with judgements, but quite pleasantly surprised upon actually getting into it. Very creative. :-)
