Understand, the World is Temporary
Often we forget our nature is created. We are created not solely to enrich ourselves, or to elevate office, nor to pursue human love. Allah Ta'ala is the true purpose of life. We are commanded only to worship Him, not others.
"I did not create jinn and men except that they should serve Me," (Surah Adz-Dzariyat: 56).
But, most of us instead always forget Him, prefer the world and the trinkets that are in it. His time is only spent on the pursuit of the world, only a little time we have to romance with Him.
Astagfirullah ....
The world is like the ocean, the more we drink the water, the more thirsty the throat will be. That is, when the world is being pursued, we will never be content to continue hunting him.
The enjoyment and beauty it offers, feels great fun. Thus, we forget and neglect the obligation to the Creator. Not a few of us who prefer to continue to do work when the call to prayer is calling.
Not infrequently, we delay the prayers because of fatigue which is the reason. Yes, we feel tired when faced with the obligation to worship Him. However, we rarely feel tired, when we are cool to "run" the pursuit of the world.
It is true, like the poem sung by the group of nasyid Hijjaz:
So beautiful world
Anyone is tempted
Treasure, rank, and woman
Weaken the soul
Without faith in heart
We're in control
Satan's lust in self
The hidden enemy.
The world is so fascinating, bewitching eyes, ears, even hearts and souls. The temptation of treasure, position, and love, can bring us down into the abyss of destruction. Many who pursue property, to forget the Creator. Not a few who pursue positions, eventually entered the trap of the devil. And, countless, how many people perished because of excessive love for humans.
Understand, the world we live in is just a temporary place. We are given only a short time to live in this world. The world we live in, like a place to grow crops. Later, we will harvest the results in the afterlife. So, fix and multiply the charity of charity. Hopefully, later in the day end, we are among the lucky ones.
This world is only temporary, take advantage of our existence as well as possible. Do not regret later. Do not let, because chasing the world, we are shunned by Him. This world is just a bridge, which will lead us to the real dwelling place. Realize, luxury, glory, and other things we glorify during life in the world, will not be useful later in the day of vengeance. Could be, it all just aka incriminating our bad deeds. Naudzubillah......
"And there is no life of this world, apart from playfulness and mere jest. And indeed the home of the Hereafter is better for the righteous. Then do not you understand it? "(Surat al-An'aam 32).
