Wednesday For Water, बूंद-बूंद बचाएं, जलस्तर बढ़ाएं
सुबह-ए-बनारस के संयुक्त तत्वावधान में अस्सी घाट पर चल रहे शाम-ए-जलदान में गुरुवार को जल संरक्षण की शपथ को जीवन में उतारने की जरूरत बताई गई।
उपस्थित लोगों ने यह संकल्प लिया कि जल की कमी को रोकने के लिए उसकी एक-एक बूंद को बचाएंगे। साथ ही अपनी खाली पड़ी जमीन पर सोख्ता पिट के माध्यम से भू-जल को रीचार्ज करेंगे।
मुख्य वक्ता गोपी राधा बालिका इंटर कालेज की प्रधानाचार्य डा माधुरी पाडेय ने कहा कि जल ही जीवन है। जल है तो हमारा कल उज्जवल है।
आज अगर हमने प्रकृति प्रदत्त इस उपहार को संरक्षित नहीं किया तो हमारी पीढि़यां जल के लिए तरस जाएंगी। हम अपने पूर्वजों को तालाब
