Why write? / لماذا نكتب؟

In an old response to the question "Why write?", The late Colombian writer Gabrielle Garcia Marquez said he was writing "to make friends happy," while American writer Susan Orlin replied to the same question: "I write because I love to learn about the world. I love storytelling and experimentation. The actual making of sentences ".

Many writers, writers, and thinkers have a variety of answers about the actual reason for writing. Some of them are written by choice and some are written by force, as he claims, because he suddenly found himself in the literary realm either by studying or talent or by claiming that he has nothing in life except writing.

Writing is a noble act that must make fun of all that is good, either that the purpose of writing is a noble message seeking to rise a wound, or to cheer a heart, or enlighten the mind, or spread love and peace

I write because I do not speak much, and perhaps because I am more bold in writing, I write because I trust the paper more than human beings. The paper does not change the words, nor does it add or detract from it or distort the meaning. I write because The practice of writing is the dream of my childhood that haunted me even before I learned the line of a single letter, because the dream that I did not allow to fall from me with the dreams that life dropped against me

في جواب قديم للكتابة الصحفية على أحد الأسئلة "لماذا تكتب؟"، صرح الكاتب الكولومبي المتوفي غابرييل غارسيا ماركيز إنه يكتب "لأجل أن يفرح الأصدقاء"، فيما أجابت الكاتبة الأميركية سوزان أورلين عن نفس السؤال بـ"أكتب لأنني أحب أن أتعلم عن العالم، أحب سرد الروايات والتجربة الفعلية لصنع الجمل".

تتعدد أجوبة الكتاب والأدباء والمفكرين عن الداعِي الفعلي الذي دفعهم للكتابة، فمنهم من يكتب بإجراء اختيار ومنهم من يكتب بإجراء إجبار كما يدعي، وهذا لأنه وجد ذاته فجأة وسط الميدان الأدبي سواء بحكم دراسته أو موهبته أو بادعاء أنه لا يجيد في الحياة شيئا غير الكتابة.

الكتابة إجراء سام وراق يتوجب أن يسخر لكل ما هو خير، فإما أن تكون القصد من الكتابة برقية نبيلة تحاول لأن ترتق جرحاً، أو تسعد قلباً، أو تنير عقلاً، أو تعلن الحب والسلام

أما أنا فأكتب لأتنفس، ولأعبر عن آرائي وأفكاري، أنا أكتب لأنني لا أتحدث كثيراً، وقد لأنني بالكتابة بات أكثر جرأة بالتعبير، أكتب لأنني أثق بالورق أكثر من الإنس، فالورق لا يحول الخطاب، ولا يضيف فيه ولا ينقص منه ولا يقوم بتشويه المعنى، أكتب لأن ممارسة الكتابة هو حلم طفولتي الذي راودني حتى قبل أن أتعلم خط حرف واحد، لأنه الحلم الذي لم أسمح أن يسقط مني مع الأحلام التي أسقطتها الحياة رغماً عني
