Insomnia - Poetry
Looking at the stars
They seemed too bright
They seemed too happy
Like dust of diamonds freckles, they taint the black sky
I wanted to get a better view
So I climbed up a rooftop and laid on the floor
It was hard and cold but yet comforting
And then I stared at the sky through thick lenses
Slowly the skies blurred and so did the stars
Slowly I fell into a sleep I might not wake up from
Slowly I let the poison take effect
Slowly my heart beats
I smiled and thought happy thoughts
Until the pain came and my veins felt like they were about to go up in flames
But I had given up on fire
Slowly I eased into unconsciousness
Eyes finally closed
I fall into limbo, a dark hollow cycle of silence
Moments passed and I felt my nose itch
Hmmmm... so it didn't kill you "my mind says"
