Sometimes, when it rains it pours.

Ever heard that expression before?

I am sure you have, and if you are like me, you have a good idea what it means.

It basically means that when something small starts to go wrong, it often goes wrong in a much bigger way.

For example you are already running late for work, burned your breakfast, and then on top of all that you can't find your keys.

When it rains it pours.

However, it actually has been very literal in my neck of the woods.

We have had 3 straight days of rain.

Not only that, but it has poured, which is unusual.

I live in a desert and when it rains it often only rains for a very short amount of time or just sprinkles.

The last few days it has rained buckets though.

Dumping inches of rain in a very short time.

Minor flooding?

The result has been some minor flooding and standing water where there really shouldn't be, but it was much needed as the entire area had been in a major drought.

Makes for some good splash puddles for the kids though.

So for all our sake's out here, I hope that when it rains, it continues to pour.
