General Comment Party: WK08
Introduction
Over to the eighth week for this contest and we have always believed that things will be better soon. The previous one was awesome, I can see everyone has something when it comes to movies. I believe this week contest will be very productive. The community is currently active and maintaining it's activeness won't be possible if we don't keep on commenting and posting.
We have noticed that the engagement rate in this platform is very poor and is important to increase the engagement rate in this platform that's why we decided to begin a comment contest in this new community to see if it can increase the rate of engagement in this platform. Never stop commenting!

Giving up is always seen on the negative. For instance if a person should die it is often said " he gave up the ghost" I have never seen or heard people say that giving up is a good thing. The person giving up will always be considered as a looser, weak or a caward. Is this always the real situation? Especially in a race or competition if someone see that his health condition, strength or capacity is not enough to complete the race or competition it is good to be honest to ones self by giving up.
I will say that it is not in every situation that one need to give up. Especially in academic pursuit. If you give up claiming that you do not have brain for school I see such a person as a lazy person. My believe is that God who created man in His image is an intelligent God and so everyone are naturally intelligent and can reach any height of academic pursuit if only the person is willing and ready to learn and unlearn.
Giving up in a political ambition for the sake of peace of the people or as a result of poor performance is a good legacy by the individual for instance one of our former President, President good luck Johnathan gave up to Bihari in an election that was rigged which would have brought about war and blood shed was a noble thing.
I invite my friends @eveetim, @bela90 @manuelhooks to share their thoughts.

I agree with the idea that giving up is not always a bad thing.
Refusing to give up a bad habit can not be glorified simply because it has some element of presistence and endurance, qualities that have often been praised. A person adicted to a drug will really have to giveup the adiction. In such a case, giving up is the best course of action.
It will be counter productive to persist in a toxic relationship with an abusive mate because we don not want to be labelled a quitter. And as such, we endure mistreatment and abuse.
The act of giving up may come with a stigma to it, but often we need to give up. Give up a lifestyle, poor attitude towards work and others.
There are times we need to give up on some things if they are not profitable. Like you've mentioned, giving up in a political ambition for the sake of peace is worth it. Thank you for the invitation.
Best wishes to you.
You are welcome Dear, best wishes too
Is giving up a bad thing?
Giving up, how frequently it is said it is a bad thing if you want to achieve something, goals, wishes. If this is the case why is it that women are not given the chance to grow and have to give up everything they like and stand for for the sake of a husband or child(ren)? And if not for them it's family and or the employer. Whatever they do it's rarely what they really like but part of how they are raised while being pushed into a certain direction. Of course, if you ask: What is it you really wanted, many can not answer this question. The reason is that you need to live, and develop yourself to figure it out. It's not like we are taught at school that at the age of 11 we should do what we want to be the rest of our lives. We can learn and do everything if the chance would be only given to look around, try out, and develop skills. Since that is what life is about. Developing us, growing us and if we do that the fulfillment we feel will reflect on others.
Giving up isn't bad. It's good to know what you want for you (it avoids being unhappy and grumpy) and it's good to recognise that a choice made that turns out to be a bad decision can be stopped or changed. Nothing is eternal and life is too short to do do what we dislike. The hours might pass by slow but the days and years pass by fast.

At times, people give up on things when they don't achieve the actual goal. Like, what's the need of putting efforts in things that are not worth it? For me, there are some things we should just do away with them, not because we didn't put in our best but because there isn't a change or probably reasons to hold on to it.
Thank you for the invitation.
Also a good reason to give up on whatever is put effort in. One should also know when to stop.
That's absolutely true
At 11 years old it's often too soon to decide what to do for the rest of life...
True, life doesn't go on dotted lines. We have to make amends as per the situation and if we have to change the line, that's not giving up!
I am not surprised with your point of view because I am a believer that giving up is neither good nor bad, but as far as I am concerned, I can argue both ways.
When I am fed up with something, I ask myself, "Will it be okay to give up?
I guess in some cases I save myself from overstress and financial situation as well because I know it was necessary to give up in this case.
As a marketing professional, I am a tough nut to crack, yet my experiences say I should always learn from my mistakes and avoid repeating what I did last time when I spent a lot of time chasing a similar deal and failed in the end.
Source
So why should I feel bad this time around if I know the result in advance that this deal is going to take me nowhere? So why should I pursue this task for nothing? I am a firm believer that nothing happens for nothing, so why should I feel bad if I give up in a particular situation?
Nah, I never associate giving up with failure and weakness if it comes to doing so from within me. But yes, if I give up something, I immediately find my new goal and follow it religiously.

Giving up is the last thing I would ever think of doing in my life. Failure or setback is only a delay and strategies for one to plan better. You have a point and thanks for the invite.

Giving up most times doesn't mean that we are weak, but a courageous act of self-awareness. Recognizing when to let go of toxic things such as relationships, stressful jobs and unattainable goals can be incredibly worth it.
Giving up affords us the energy to release the weight of perseverance and redirect our focus towards pursuing more fulfilling things. Giving up is all about we acknowledging that some batttles are really not worth fighting for and surrendering can lead to a sweet relief.
When we embrace the freedom that comes with giving up,we open ourselves to more opportunities, good relationships and deeper understanding of our true priories in life. So when next you are faced with challenges, don't be afraid to wave the white flag as it's the bravest thing you can do. So therefore, let go, move forward and discovered what awaits you.
I am inviting @ishanto, @aspiya, and @saintkelvin17
I totally agree, sometimes giving up helps us to unwind and properly restrategize, truly knowing when to let go can protect ones mental health
In the world today, things are becoming unhelpfully hard for most people. They've done everything possible to sustain themselves and see that they're still alive. They've forgotten their aspirations, their goals, their dreams and proposed achievements. All thanks to the hardship of life. Some are feeling down, discouraged and many have already given up. But to the few that are still pushing and trying... Please I beg you... GIVE UP!!!🤧🤧😤😤😂😂😂😂
Success was not meant for all. If everyone in the world were rich, who would work in the farm, who would sell in the market, who would produce the things which you would eat and wear. THINK....
Make you sef give up make you no die🤧🤧😂😂
Giving up can always be a good choice 🤧😂😂

I came in peace, let me not leave in pieces 🤧🤧😂😂
