Leaf Eater Green Caterpillar

Caterpillars are the larval stage of the species in the order Lepidoptera, which includes butterflies and moths. Most are plant eaters even though some species are insectivores. Most caterpillars are considered pests in agriculture. Many species of moths are known because the caterpillar stage causes damage to fruit and other agricultural products.

Most caterpillars have long bodies and are gilig shaped (cylindrical). Caterpillars have three pairs of true limbs in three chest segments, plus four pairs of pseudo limbs called the abdomen in the middle segment of the abdomen and often a pair of abdominal limbs in the last abdominal segment. Caterpillars have ten abdominal segments.
