Witness Update Report #18

Hello there all you awesome Steemians, what a crazy day we had today. We unfortunately had some issues with our hosting server in the early hours of the morning. So we spent most of the day trying to resolve the problem with the servers going down and eventually we had to make the call to move our witness to a different hosting server. Needless to say we missed a few blocks, and the whole team is pretty bummed out because of it. Our witness will be disabled for the next few hours while we get our new hosting server set up and everything reinstalled. We will also be upgrading a few things while we are at it to much sure we can support the ever growing Steem network.

We would like to give a big thanks to @someguy123 for the advise and directing us to @privex for our hosting needs. Everything will be back up and running in no time, but we will keep you all posted.

ADSactly Steemit Help - The Journey

One of the biggest concerns we hear from newcomers to the steemit platform is the low rewards for their posts. It is true that when first starting out the rewards to your posts will often be very low. This is common to the majority of the users on the steemit platform. Low rewards often lead to people leaving the platform after only a short time. There can be a lot of frustration when you put a significant amount of effort into a post and it receives such small rewards.You have hopes of getting bigger votes and higher rewards when starting our steemit blog. The biggest piece of advice that can be given to someone starting out is STICK WITH IT.

Steemit is a journey, a marathon so to say, and it is going to take time to build your following and to work up to higher rewards. If you are expecting to find success immediately of overnight then you might be barking up the wrong tree. Steemit is not a get rich quick platform. Rewards are also not going to happen without putting in the effort required. You can only get out of Steemit what you are willing to put into it. Steemit success does not come from posting quality content alone. It is imperative that you are out there doing the leg work to build relationships on the platform. As mentioned in an earlier installment, comments are your gateway to building relationships and a following that will vote for ou. You have to make sure to put this effort in every day. This is a process that takes time.

As you start to grow a little make sure that you are powering up as much steem as you can. It takes time to get your SP up and as your SP grows you are better able to support others on the platform. In turn they are going to support you with better votes. This is a big part of where the journey comes into play. It can take months and months to build that SP up to a respectable level. The harder you work, the faster it will grow. If at all possible, invest a little into the platform by purchasing Steem and powering it up. In the end this will make your account stronger and more notable and potentially lead to more followers. There are users that seek out other users with certain levels of SP. It is just a reality of the way people work sometimes.

The bottom line is DON’T QUIT! Give yourself time to grow and build up your account. Know that you are not the only person going through the same struggle. There is a light at the end of the tunnel if you stick with it and put in the time.
