GRADUATION was the only thing I kept in mind. Graduation was my driving force, it made me give my all in everything I do. To me, graduation was an escape from the hustle and stress of campus life. I was only a second year student and I couldn't wait to leave.

It didn't come as a surprise to me when I was called a nerd by my friends, but it wasn't enough reason for me to stay stucked to that. I am the second child in a family of five, my elder brother got arrested and sentenced to ten years imprisonment for drug trafficking. My family was not financially buoyant and so without being told, my responsibility was evident. I had to get a good job and help cater for my younger ones because I couldn't bear to be another disappointment. To achieve this, I had to cut out my social and extracurricular lifestyle from my school life.

The thing that was most annoying was the fact that my friends did not take it serious like I did. I wouldn't blame them though, they had things going well for them. Zainab for instance was under scholarship to study theatre arts, she was blessed with acting skills and was made to be in charge of the amateur actors club. She was focused and she had an idea of what she wanted to achieve in life.

Dimeji on the other hand was different,it was obvious he had no idea of what he wanted to do with his life, he ended up changing his field of study twice during his first year. He seemed not to mind at all which made me wonder how we became best of friends because Of our contrast in character.
As for Judith and Ifeanyi, theirs was a strange love story. They had both taken a liking towards each other during their first year at the university but Judith has been more upfront about her feelings. She made the first move which took Ifeanyi by surprise. I guess it explains the fact why Judith had the upper hand in their relationship. She was born into a very wealthy family and so she made sure that Ifeanyi looked very good in campus by spoiling him with gifts . She turned into a typical sugar mummy.

Judith, Zainab,Dimeji and I sat on a comfy porch outside Dr.Kanga's examination room. Dr. Kanga was a neuroscientist
and we were all there for a check up. Judith had insisted that Ifeanyi went for a brain check up since he had been forgetting "important stuffs" like her birthday, their anniversary and other issues they often discussed.

Ifeanyi decided to invite the rest of us knowing Judith could be crazy about things like this so myself and Dimeji thought it would be fun but Zainab had to be pressurised before she agreed due to Judith's teasing about her badly needing a checkup for her brain. Ifeanyi had been in the examination room for more than fifteen minutes and I was getting impatient. I also needed to see the doctor because I needed an explanation for the unusual headaches I had been having lately.

The door finally opened and both Dr. Kanga and Ifeanyi walked out of the room " so doctor, how was it? What's wrong with him?" Judith asked sweetly. "nothing baby, I've just been tired lately and I tend to forget things easily. It's nothing serious". Ifeanyi explained.
" of course it is serious, you are not even fifty yet and you are forgetting important things already".

"There's nothing to worry about Judith, its typical of us men to forget things women consider very important. It has happened to me before, you just need to keep reminding him" Dr kanga defended Ifeanyi.
" isn't there a prescription or something?"
"Abeg give him a break, the doctor has told you it's a normal thing, what's your own now?" Zainab cut in. Judith turned around to give her a death stare. "Dr. Kanga, she needs a check up immediately, I think there is something wrong with her brain, she's always interfering in matters that does not concern her" Judith retorted.

"Shege banza" Zainab attacked back. Both I and Dimeji started laughing at this point. Judith was about to sy something when Ifeanyi refrained her from saying anything.
"Calm down baby, she's not worth your time
" two of una dey craze" Zainab as she got up from her seat and walked along with Dr. Kanga into the examination room

Dimeji spoke up after the door to the room closer
