THE DIARY GAME:5/8/2020: MY NEIGHBOUR'S GARDEN, A PLACE OF HAPPINESS!!!

My neighbour's garden

Dear Diary,

Today's weather was extremely cold, I dont know why. I wish i could come out of bed earlier, but the weather is tempting. I kept telling myself, I will come out of bed after 5minutes but my 5minutes turn out to be extra one hour. Lol.

At last, I reluctantly came out of bed at 7:30am. As I step out of my room, I started smelling some sweet aroma from the kitchen. I quietly walk straight to the kitchen and peep through the kitchen door. Wow!!! It was my sister who was cooking a delicious meal. I was so excited. I hope you could see how happy i was.

I quickly rushed to the bathroom to take my bath and brush my teeth. After taking my bath, I went straight to my room to dress up. I was rushing to dress up so that the food won't get cold.

As soon I finish, I went straight to the sitting room and i saw my sister eating. Alas!!! It was egg sauce and yam. Seeing this, A love song came out of my mouth, and the lyrics goes thus;

You are the love my life.
You are the hope that I cling to.
You mean more than this world to me.

I was singing and smiling while going to the kitchen.

On getting to the kitchen, I was already salivating even without seeing the meal yet. The aroma of the egg sauce filled the entire kitchen. I took my plate and decided to serve myself. So I went straight to the pot, as I open the pot, Guess what I saw.....

It was an empty pot. I couldn't believe my eyes. So I decided to open all pot one after the other, thinking may be i open the wrong pot. After checking all the pot and i couldn't find the food, I went straight to the sitting room to ask her where she kept my food.

Then I heard the most shocking news of the day, She replied by saying she did not prepared my own meal, she only prepared her own and that she intentionally did that because I woke up late. Hearing this, I was so angry.

What kind of kid sister do this to her elder sister? Imagine her depriving me of food in my own house, even with my food stuff. In fact I was short of words, Imagine the stress of going to market to buy foodstuffs despite how expensive things are.

Instead of shouting at her, which might call the attention of my neighbours. I quickly walk straight to my room while she continue eating her food. As soon as i enter my room, I kept saying to myself, "Calm down".

After about 30 minutes I went to the kitchen to prepare tea, in other to eat the left over bread I ate last night. After eating, I went straight to my room thinking of what to do. Then I remember my neighbour's garden.

My neighbour practice substantial farming near the house. He uses this to feed his family and many a times when he harvest his farm product he do give me out of it. Since I was angry and was looking for a place to cool my head, so I decided to go and check the garden.

As soon as I get to the garden. I felt a fresh breeze of air blowing towards me. It's so cool and refreshing. I enjoyed the sounds of the bird on the trees. Truly, Nature is beautiful. He planted various crops which include cocoyam, plantain, okro and various kinds of vegetables.

After spending over an hour in the garden, I was relieved of the anger and I was so happy. I joyfully return back home and I spent the rest of the day in a happy mood.
