West Ham Beat Southampton 2-1
Felipe Anderson scored two goals to help West Ham come from behind to grab a 2-1 victory against Southampton.
Southampton had a bright start to the game, Ings dribbling through the West Ham defence and almost toe-poking a ball in the net. West Ham were under a lot of pressure with Southampton dominating most of the game, but both sides just being unable to find the back of the net before the half time break.
Southampton who had dominated most of the game finally got the first goal in the 50th minute. Redmond bundling the ball home for his side after Romeu's effort was stopped. The celebration was soon cut short, as West Ham finally got into the game to score an equalizer less than 3 minutes after. Anderson blasting an unstoppable ball from 25 yards out.
West Ham go on to completely flip the tables, as they score again by the hour mark. A swift counter attack after clearing a Southampton corner saw Antonio give the ball to Anderson, who goes on to finish things off for his side. Mario Lemina almost levelled the game for Southampton, but was denied by a brilliant save from Lukasz Fabianski. West Ham finally closed the game with their 2-1 lead, after grabbing victory from the jaws of defeat.
The victory saw West Ham move up to the 9th position in the League, while Southampton remain at the 16th position.
