Every black man in America faces a symbolic chokehold every time he leaves his home. The sight of an unknown black man scares people, and the law responds with a set of harsh practices of surveillance, control and punishment designed to put down the threat.
The people who carry out the chokehold include cops, judges, and politicians. But it’s not just about the government. It’s also about you. People of all races and ethnicities make the most consequential and the most mundane decisions based on the chokehold. It impacts everything from the neighborhood you choose to live in and who you marry to where you look when you get on an elevator.
Racism in the real world
But there are also major divides in how Americans see how racism and discrimination changes everyday life for blacks in the United States.
This should be stop and everyone deserve freedom in this world.
Almost all people want their own freedom, no one wants to live under anybody, so everyone has the right to freedom of speech and freedom. It is an exaggeration thanks to writing an article so beautiful and hope to write Shabanu so beautiful
I loved this guys responses, many in the black community feel the same way he does about the police and racism. I understand his frustration with it as a fellow victim of police harassment. I think discrimination in general is the bigger issue here. Race is only one of a number of factors that people in power will use against you unfairly, police or otherwise.
Seems like he doesn't get paid enough to promote his employer. I feel him on that too. I have had a ton of shitty bosses over the years that have constantly cut corners with me. Making up a loss or increasing your profit margins by cutting your employees short is immoral.
Every revolution or new concept or theory first appears silently then takes a very big shape
