My 11th Parkrun with lots of Wind

It was the eleventh park run for me today. Running 5 km in the early morning isn't really my thing, but I get used to it.
Today the temperatures were very mild (around +8 degrees Celsius), but there was a lot of wind that pushed us forward during the first 15 minutes and then slowed us down on the way back.
A new runner, who had never been to a park run before, immediately took the lead and completed the course in 19 minutes 10 seconds. Wow! I won't even come close to reaching such times.
That's not my goal either. My goal is to stay fit and healthy with the running and all the other activities I document here on actifit. I think that at my age this is simply very important in order to counteract the natural decline and performance reduction of the body a little bit.
Für mich war es heute der elfte Parkrun. 5 km am frühen Morgen zu laufen, ist eigentlich nicht so mein Ding, aber ich gewöhne mich daran.
Heute waren die Temperaturen sehr mild (um die +8 Grad Celsius), aber es gab sehr viel Wind, der uns die ersten 15 Minuten nach vorne trieb und dann auf dem Rückweg bremste.
Ein neuer Läufer, der noch nie bei einem Parkrun war, setzte sich gleich an die Spitze und schaffte die Strecke in 19 Minuten 10 Sekunden. Wow! Nicht mal annähernd werde ich solche Zeiten erreichen.
Das ist auch nicht mein Ziel. Mein Ziel ist, mit dem Laufen und all den anderen Aktivitäten, die ich hier auf actifit dokumentiere, fit und gesund zu bleiben. Ich denke, in meinem Alter ist das einfach sehr wichtig um dem natürlichen Abbau und der Leistungsminderung des Körpers ein wenig etwas entgegenzusetzen.
