Poetry 365 | Day 68 | Sonnet 10
Men often live for the love of their mates:
Ready to give everything up at once–
Scaling high towers to thus demonstrate,
Laboring to purchase a rock; for months,
The truth is that companionship is great,
Extending the days of many a groom:
Remember young ones, that it locks your fate,
Make sure you're ready to stay in the room–
Chose with discretion, the one to adore;
Pick the friend that will answer with intent,
Don't fall in a trap and make love a chore,
Rather, make it a goal to reinvent–
Don't get me wrong, at times it will be tough
For love is a game that calls every bluff.
