Poetry 365 | Day 67 | Sonnet 9
They say our planet is getting warm quick,
And blame it on our industrial strides:
Giving us reasons to see it as sick–
Telling us that we have got to choose sides;
Some think that the science is uncertain:
Disparaging the mainstream narrative,
Others work hard to pull back the curtain,
To wake up the masses, so we may live–
As beings in harmony with the Earth;
We'll see if it's too late for reversal,
Or if we can give our kids what they're worth,
And put on a show with no rehearsal,
Greed may be a vice we can not afford:
And may give way to the might of the horde.
