Yesterday in Crypto

I know that we can't call this yet a bull market but one can not stay eyes closed to the immense spikes the crypto markets "were served" lately and that all started with Dogecoin. Yes, the joke coin, if you haven't noticed was one of the first to go parabolic three days ago before "the fire started". I don't know why and how this happened but it is not the first time happening. I remember last year also about a similar episode.

I also remember that I was thinking to sell the XRP and buy Doge when it was about 51 satoshis and to decide if that would be a good decision I flipped the coin. I do that very often to chose cryptos to put my money on. The coin was "not friends" with the Doge as Elon Musk is and decided for me to stick with XRP. I should have listened my intuition and do the trade. Even if I wouldn't retrace on dollars after the spike at least I would have more XRP now.

BUT I didn't... Thus I am stuck with XRP and ETH which are "full of fundamentals" but weak in price growth. Totally uninspired. I have to admit though that BCH was never on my mind and look at it how it got to a bit over $320 yesterday during the hot hour and now is floating at the $300 level. Fundamentals right?

I've finally came to the conclusion that during such times of FOMO and excitement fundamentals have nothing to stand against such catalysts. It really doesn't matter what the blockchain does, what contracts and partnership has the company and what it would bring to the table in the future. Money pouring into the market in such times are purely blind...

Hence I am thinking that this market has nothing similar with other type of investments, trading strategies that are applicable to other types of assets might not fit as well and I am thinking also that the long cycles that we are following and very often relate to might have changed. If such cycles have gotten out of patterns then what if 2019 will be just another 2017?. Have you thought about that?

Ending the story of the crypto blooming prices before I'll get you too bored I will explain my pics for the post as well. I've chosen these flowers because they represent for me lately the best way to describe the crypto markets evolving. They both kind of bloomed over night and both have potential fruits in them. It's only on us to harvest them at the right time, not too soon and not too late. If it's possible and the coin won't play against me again.
