Went lunch with my pickleball friends at the School of Computing canteen in the National University of Singapore. Or should I said it's breakfast since it was my first meal of the day. This fried egg with tomato and rice was at quite an unbeatable price. $2.30. After that time for quick shower and head to Singapore Polytechnic because it seems to be raining in the afternoon quite a lot. So, better I go and chill there before... what's for dinner? and then class at night. 😎
今早打完球跟球友去新加坡国立大学电脑机学院食堂共进午餐。 或者我应该说它是早餐，因为这是我金天的第一餐。这个配番茄炒蛋饭价格真划算。仅$2.30。吃完后，赶快洗个澡再前往新加坡理工学院，因为最近下午似乎总是下雨。 所以，最好先去那里轻轻松松做点事到......晚餐吃什么？ 然后才上夜校。😎
How does this meal looks to you? There were divided opinions. Some said looks good but others said looks disgusting. Regardless, I gobbled up the $2.30 breakfast/lunch.

That actually looks decent for that price. I eat at the school canteen often. It's about the same price with my teacher discount.
Being in accessible distance to a school is good :-)

I never had anything like it, but I would try it! How did it taste? Most anything for near $2 is a good deal if at all eatable!!
It seems tomato fried with eggs is quite a common dish in certain parts of China.
I never have it till some years ago I had it in Shanghai and started noticing places in Singapore having them.
I have tried to cook it myself. I imagine it's easy only after failing a few times. haha.
So, maybe a recipe will help. This one seems have nice pictures so I assume the author is successfully master this.

I'm not sure if you must peel the tomato and how it comes out with and without the skin.
I quite like to have the skin. Maybe it makes them bit more sour.
If you google "tomato with fried eggs recipe", some youtube comes out too.
