A few weeks ago, I was buying something at a food store. A delivery guy was in front of me and picked up his order and walked off. As I went up the queue, I saw some money on the floor. I picked them up and chased after the guy and asked him if he drop some money. He said no. Then I went back to the store and asked if there was someone before him. It seems not so for a while. Wondering what to do with the money but didn’t feel safe passing it to the people there. I ordered my food and make a call to the police who advised me to bring to any police post. So I did after eating and a long walk. At the police post, I told them where I found the money and how much. The police officer google for the place but the place came out without the unit number. I had a photo of the place which had the unit number. So, I handed over the $150 which went into an evidence bag. I asked what’s going to happen and the officer told me the evidence will be brought to the Lost and Found Department and someone will try to establish the rightful owner. In this case, I doubt if they will because the person must know where he lost his money and make a police report. Still wondering how the money will end up, I did a search and found this: https://www.gov.sg/news/content/today-online---lost-items-now-found-thanks-to-an-intrepid-inspector That news mentioned that “Valuables such as watches are auctioned off at a hotel two to three times a year, while cash is forfeited to the state weekly. Items such as mobile phones — which contain personal data — and keys are taken to an incinerator once or twice a month.” I guess no such thing as Finders, Keepers then.😎

Oh dude that is crap! Here anyone would have pocketed it lol. But even if I turned it in, if no one claims it, you get it. Is that a lot of money there?
I was hoping it's not someone's important kind of money but I heard there's law somewhere where nobody claims, it's yours but for the case here based on what I found, I think I'm enriching the state coffers. It's not a lot kind of a lot but we can a cheap meal for $5 here though you got to a more fancy place $150 probably buy you 2 dinners.
