Last Sunday, I went to the Lorong 8 Toa Payoh Market and Food Centre. The place was closed for a few months of renovation since April and reopened recently.

It hasn't changed a lot. OK, the floor tiles are different but the tables and chairs seem to have change on on the laminate surface only.

I see most of the stalls are still there including this noodle stall I like. So, that's good.

The price of the noodle has gone up from $2.50 to $2.80. That's bad but still cheaper than many other places.

As I sat and ate my noodles, I saw the nearby drinks stall has these cartons of sugar cane. On the carton, there are words "WASH BEFORE USE". I wondering if people really wash them before squeezing the sugar cane juice out. Hmm... maybe a story for another time.

I like all the food choices you have there!
I never see sugar cane here.
We do have good food options.
I don't have sugar cane juice as much as before. I find them refreshing but bit too sweet sometimes. The thing is most stalls put in more than half the glass of ice and if you want no ice or less ice, you have to pay more.
