SteemFest 3: #backfromsteemfest 😍 📴🥙🗑️ 🎱 🍺

The SteemFest 3 comedown has well and truly hit. The markets are red and I'm back 'home' in this tiny town - I had so many friends and a bit more 'on screen money' last week!

This is likely to be my last SteemFest related post this year, although I am thinking about doing an attendees stats post, if I can think of enough interesting metrics to include. If you have some ideas let me know!

Hey @anomadsoul, thanks for giving me some structure to work with for this post, otherwise it would have been a tagfest and taken ages to produce. K, lets go.....

Your overall experience about the whole event

It was awesome, and if there is any chance you can attend the next one, you totally should! This was my 2nd SteemFest, and hopefully not the last. Everyone is welcome, from Redfish to Whale, there's lots to eat and drink, and above all, 300+ people that you share at least one thing in common with!

The funniest photo you took

Considering I only took 30, and 25 of those were blurred due to poor operator use, I'm going to have to pick 'look i'm a bike!' @guyfawkes4-20

I'm a little disappointed to have chopped the word 'boy' off the sign at the top right 😛

The most embarrassing situation you were involved in

Two in one night, but at least I can push the blame over to my teammates!

@starkerz, @surfermarly, @connecteconomy and I looked good on paper against @lukestokes and his family in the bowling. With 2 wins already under our belt, were weren't going to let a team dominated by children knock us out of the contest. Yeah, that happened! Well done Luke and family, ruthless, and not a hint of time-wasting in sight 😛

The second one was less than 30 minutes later, when @blewitt and I joined forces in the Pool to take on.. (what beer number was I up to?).... two other Steemians! All was going well until @blewitt, seen below looking like he knows what he's doing, has ball in hand and just the black ball to pot.

'Take the shot at an angle' I may have said out loud, or in my mind, trusting that he wouldn't follow the black ball into the pocket with the white........ and his did, totally @blewitt son!

The coolest/most interesting story/anecdote you have about SF3

So I'm walking to the pub with @aggroed and he tells me..... oops, cant say 😛

Word on the street is that @evecab...... nope 🤐

Really awesome news for [name] following [gender] talk on [topic]... 🤐 🤐 Arghhhh, I know some stuff, but don't worry, it's all good!

My story is based around the crazy Fin, @celestal. Not only did he bring 12 kg of dried fruit on a skateboard to Steemfest to share with everyone, including Ned, he also loves a bit of bin-diving in search of food that can be spared.

We all ordered a kebab, Mr gluten-free went for kebab in a box, and I took the large 'heavier than a newborn' option, which of course I could not finish. Before sending it to the trash, I did offer it around - to no takers, but after @celestal had finished his box of kebab and salad, he was still hungry and so decided to fish my kebab out of the bin.

To be fair, I was likely unharmed by bin juice, but that didn't stop @karinxxl vomiting in her mouth (allegedly) as he carefully fingered and consumed the meat that wasn't 'contaminated by the bread'. You sir, are a legend - thanks for making me laugh and +1 for not wasting food!

Oh, and to anyone who tried the dried fruit, he did say 'warehouse', didn't he?

Yeah I know, it's pretty lame to be so dependent on a mobile device, but in a new country and with flights to catch, they become, bar keys, passport, wallet, pretty damn essential. I took 2 charging cables, and a battery pack to Krakow, and none of them wanted to play together - screw you Apple, and thanks again @eveuncovered, who was mostly covered, unless you have one of her 'business cards' 😍

@blewitt, you've blown being selected here, but this is such an awesome photo of you and @eveuncovered, it must be shared again, cheers!

The guys in this photo are awesome too, but I knew this prior to the event. Thank you both very much for your company, the week would have not been so organised/fun/interesting without your attendance.

And so, Karl @revisesociology and Gillian @gillianpearce, I'm picking you guys (who I also knew a little already but who cares) as my 2 and 3. I think it was the 2nd evening in which we spent a few hours chatting about life, family, teaching, and even a bit of Steem too. I really enjoyed hanging out with you both, thank you!

It's so hard not to start tagging the shit out of people at this point, but I will refrain.

Once again, it was lovely to meet so many cool and interesting people, all working towards the same goal.

I hope to see you all again next year, or earlier if time/budgets allow. For now though, I'll be cold and grumpy on my little Island in the sun, waiting for the next friendly get-together.
