Ramadan Kareem .... ^^ [라마단이 시작되었습니다....^^]

Good morning my friends....^^

라마단(Ramadan)이 시작되었습니다.
라마단은 아랍어로 "더운달"을 의미하는데.... 이기간 동안에는 금식과 기도를 병행하게 됩니다.

중동의 무슬림 국가에서 생활하다 보니 이곳의 생활이나 종교문화에 익숙해져야 겠지요.
라마단기간은 Saturday, May 27, 2017에 시작하여 Sunday, June 25, 2017에 끝납니다.
한달이 좀 안되네요.

이 기간 동안, 낮시간(오전 4시 ~ 오후 5시)에는, 물과 음식을 먹지 않게 됩니다.
물론 임산부와 어린 아이는 예외 입니다.
엄밀히는 무슬림인들에게만 해당되지만 외국인들도 자유로울수는 없지요.
무슬림을 존중하는 의미도 있지만, 외국인이라 하더라도 공개된 장소에서는 먹고 마시는게 금지되어 있습니다.
예전에 한국회사에 있을때에는 좀 나았는데....
지금은 회사가 쿠웨이트 국영 회사이다 보니 라마단을 온몸으로 받아들여야 할 상황입니다.
한달이 빨리 지나가기를 기다려야 겠네요...^^

The Muslim holy month of Ramadan starts the evening of May 26 and the fasting begins the following day from dawn to sunset.
For a month, Muslims across the world will abstain from both water and food.

The fasting usually begins with Muslims waking up around 4 a.m. or 5 a.m. to eat and drink ahead of their daylong fast.
At sundown, the daily fast is broken with the iftar meal, which usually consists of dates, sweet drinks, and desserts.
