Interesting! Its wonderful that people could see through the mans resentment and see that you were indeed a good student and did not deserve to fail. Work hard and it will be noticed, even if you feel you are being held back. :D
It is, its quite surprising too as that man was supposed to have my back, but its good that it turned out the way it did, or else I think it would have been quite demotivated with my work. This has definitely helped me work harder
