The Diary Game Season 3 [Friday May 10th 2024 ]

It is another day for me to share how I spent my day with you guys. Just like Susan B. Anthony will say, "I am like a snowball - the further I am rolled the more I gain". We keep learning every day from the new challenges. As the days pass, we want to learn new things and be better versions of ourselves. That was not different for me on this day. I practically pushed myself into two tasks, which has led me to learn.

I got up from bed, and just like any other day. I start with my morning workout, to help be flexible during the morning hours. I prepared myself, and by the time I was ready for work. My kids are done and ready for school. I drop them at school. Usually, I will walk them to their different classes, but this time I asked my daughter to go on her own to her class.

I had to rush to the office for an early online meeting with one of my high-profile clients. So my clients can be very naughty, but because of the money they are paying. I am ready for them. I got to the office and had my cup of coffee while preparing the agenda for the meeting. I had a short meeting with one of the staff, which ended in us scheduling this meeting with the manager.

It was a lengthy meeting, which had us conclude on some points. As I expected, there was a lot of front and back during the meeting. During such sessions with a client, you need a lot of composure to make sure you don't blow out of your mind. On the pending aspects, we decided to push the meeting to an unknown date, which will be forwarded to me for my availability.

After the meeting, I decided to learn something new. Sass, is a CSS extension mostly used by designers. I have been having delays from the design department, which has in turn created some situations with clients on project deadlines. So, I took it upon myself to have some basics on how this Sass works. That way I will be able to do some slight design while waiting on the designers.

I decided to follow a tutorial online, starting by downloading the ruby installer from the official website. After the installation, I installed Sass via git bash. It was not as easy as I expected, but I managed to succeed. Sass is a powerful tool designers use to help ease the work and allow reuse.

Ok, installation is done. Now, I face the problem of actually seeing my changes. So, I called on my colleague. He came and completed the configurations, and gave me some explanations and a click watch. Now I noticed some changes, but I was lost. It is my first time, so it is going to be a continuous learning process for me. It was time to pick up my kids from school.

I dropped the kids home and had my lunch. I was hungry, after drinking just coffee all day. So, I hurriedly had my lunch before going back to the office. On getting to the office, the soccer argument was about the second goal scare by Real Madrid. I had to do a lot of explanations because the goal was not offside. The referees and VAR, work on laws governing soccer games. When you have a clear understanding of offside rules, know the difference between offside and offside offense. I understood the argument was based on emotions and not rules.

I close early and rush home. My kids were out in the yard playing. I got home and decided to follow the news to get the list and full version of the press conference of the national team coach. After the news, I decided to watch a series Chicago Fire. While watching the series, I decided to try something new. Connect one of the laptops home to the TV screen.

Following instructions from my TV, I downloaded the PC on TV Easy Connect. I don't know if it will work for other brands. You can get it from the link smsng.co/easy. I tried with my PC, it worked, then I moved to the other PC, which is currently free. With this now, I can share my laptop screen wirelessly without necessarily connecting a cable. It was after giving myself that task, that I logged into steemit and ended my day.
