Thediarygame for 13/4/2024 || A guaranteed reality of future promises was strengthened.

My husband has such a touching story while growing up, they grew up without dad I won't go into details but then at such a tender age of 1 year this God fearing and caring man adopted them and trained them spiritually the way a father should do.

From the story I heard, the man was more than a Godfather to them but unfortunately this man health condition deteriorated abruptly when the heart breaking news of the death of his son which leads to his death on February 2024 oh so sad.

The family lost 2 person in death within 9 days, it was a shock to their mum and siblings and other relatives but they were comforted by the worlds in the holy book which gives them hope on the resurrection. A new world which is just by the corner where death, sickness, pains, sorrow will be the things of the past.

A funeral service was fixed and hubby requested that I join then to the village for the funeral, is their Godfather and so I can't say no to him. I joined them on Friday to that village, we had other people who came as well to assist in cooking and other things.

We did what we could that Friday getting things ready for Saturday and on Saturday early morning, cooking began. They cooked coconut rice, fried rice and jollof rice, afang soup and white soup, porridge plantain, salad etc.

So in the morning I assisted in chopping waterleaf of course I didn't do it by myself so we were 4 in this department.

On my assigned work

Other people where also busy in their different departments cooking, washing and lots more. I like it when things are done decently and by arrangement, that was how we did and before 12 noon we finished everything and was ready to leave the house to the funeral venue.

We all did our work successfully and satisfied, bathe and dressed up to the venue. On getting there, the corps was brought in and the funeral discourse began. It was so interesting that it comforted almost everyone who listens attentively while the talk was on.

After the talk, the man was taken to grave side to be laid to rest😭😭

I didn't really know the man when he was healthy and energetic but his stories even in old age really touches me. Well, we look forward to a time the world will be young and life is new, this time is just round the corner thinking of what's in store in the future make it hard to get downhearted because it is a guaranteed reality.

So as I see this wondrous future my creator has for me, I need to be strong, I need to build my faith in this promises, I need to see beyond this present situation, beyond darkness, I need to use my eyes of faith to see myself living in that world. Until my God claims his victory I will remain strong.

The hope spikes me up

I motivated myself and was encouraged to keep my hope high and expect this guaranteed reality. After the burial, we ate and began our journey back home.

We left home for more than 24 hours so when we get back, I cleaned everywhere prepared dinner and prepared baby to sleep.

I was really exhausted to I slept very tired 😩 but I was happy I was able to give my best assistant for the success of the funeral, giving makes me happy ofcourse all of us were happy and satisfied too.
