Growth is a word that everyone loves. Parents are usually excited to see their babies grow to toddlers, children, teenagers, adolescence and finally adulthood.
Same is the same euphoria experiences when we plant seedlings in the farm and we see them breaking the ground in the process of germination,before they mature, bear fruits or seedlings which we delight in eating.
So it is very obvious that we all love growth. The contest that I am about to write on deals on this particular word. The topic is They Keys to Growth.
Let me use the contest tips as a guiding in exploring this topic.
What does it mean to grow and how can you rate your level of growth on the Steemit platform.
To grow means to make advancement, whether it be physically,mentally and emotionally. It could mean adding in our height, weight and size, advancing from one stage of life to the other. It could aso mean growing in our position in our various offices or getting promotions.
On the steemit platform I personally look at growth from the aspect of how many steem power I have. That is my measurement of my growth on the platform.
The higher the amount of my steem power, the more evidence I have that I am growing on the platform.
Well others may look at learning to write articles, applying markdowns and so on as evidence of growth. But personally the quantity of steem power possessed is a correct measurement of my growth in steemit.
So my growth on the steemit platform is rather very slow right now.
What are some challenges you've faced or still facing in your bit to grow on the platform.
One of the greatest challenges I have is not receiving upvotes. This have been a thorn in the flesh for me. When you don't receive upvote, there.is no way you can grow your steem power.
The thought of constantly making publications without even getting the usual community curators attention is so disheartening.
Seeing others and probably some set of people getting upvotes week in and week out, seems as if other users on the platform are not just doing enough which is most probably is wrong.
There seems not to be an equitable distribution of upvotes and that is a great cause for concern for many within the system.
This is the greatest challenge that I have on the platform.
How does consistency and staying committed contribute to your growth and progress on Steemit?
Yeah, a lot is said about consistency which is an indication of how active you are on the platform. This factor cannot be over-emphasized.
Consistency and commitment are key ingredients to growth within the platform. These are required for a user to be visible within the platform which makes it easier for the individual to be noticed for support or votes.
Share with us some of the key habits or practices you have developed to support your growth and success on the platform?
There was a time that I almost quitted or stopped making publications on the steemit platform due to discouragement from not receiving upvote.
But at a point, I decided to continue writing whether votes come or not. Consistency is key for continuous progress in the steemit platform. Staying committed is important too if one is to succeed.
I would also advise having other things that you are doing apart from blogging on the platform. This can provide other sources of income, taking your mind a bit off from the platform.
Generally, times are tough these days, so looking up to steemit platform as a means to earn is sacrosanct.
Reducing your expectations and being realistic about it can help a person to remain active within the steemit platform.
Conclusion
The steemit platform is one of the best online platforms that I know. Learning and learning at the same time makes it a unique environment.

You've said it correctly sir, growth is advancing in anything at all in life, it can me mentally or even emotionally, there are so many other challenges that people face in this platform rather than upvote, each and everyone of us has our own different challenges by the way.
Getting the expected support from the platform is the challenge to many steemit user, like you've mentioned, consistency not minding the votes is keeps users visible for optimal support.
It's true that one shouldn't depend on steemit as the only source of income, to avoid some stories.
