Today I am excited to share my Achievement 3 post on Steemit. I create my Steemit accounts 1 year ago but with my busy schedule I have not been able to give it the attention it deserve. But starting today I am commited to dedicating proper time to Steemit and aiming to post everyday.

plagiarism.

Its like when you copy someone else work and say its your. Imagine if you drew cool picture and someone else said they drew it. Not fair right Thats Plagiarism.

Understanding Plagiarism in Art

Plagiarism is not just copying pictures. Its also using someone elses ideas or style Without saying where you got them. As artists our Work come from our hearts and mind. So its essential to give credit to others who inspire us. That way we shows respect for their creativity.

Types of Plagiarism

  1. Accidental Plagiarism: Sometimes we might accidentally copy someone elses work without realizing it. Its essential to be careful and double check our sources.

  2. Self Plagiarism: This occurs when we reuse our own work without acknowledging it. Even though its our creation its still important to give credit.

  3. Paraphrasing: Changing a few words of someone else work and presenting it your own is still considered plagiarism. Always provide proper attribution.

  4. Mosaic Plagiarism: This involves piecing together sentences or phrases from different sources without proper Citation.

  5. Patchwork Plagiarism: Similar to mosaic plagiarism patchwork plagiarism involve stitch together various sources without knowledgment.

  6. Verbatim Plagiarism: Copying someone elses work word for Words Without quotation marks is clear example of verbatim Plagiarism.

How to Avoid Plagiarism?

  1. Always attribute ideas quotes and image to their original creator.
  2. Use quotation marks for direct quotes and provide proper citations.
  3. Paraphrase information in your own word while still citing the original source.
  4. Be honest about the origin of your work and give credit where its due.

Citations

When using someone elses work its crucial to provide citations to acknowledge their contribution. This includes linking back to the original source or mentioning the creator name and the source of inspiration. By including citations we uphold the principles of honesty and respect in our creatve endeavors.

Example:

Art is a diverse range of human activity and its resulting product that involves creative or imaginative talent generally expressive of technical proficiency, beauty, emotional power, or conceptual ideas.source
