Review of Japanese anime Free! ending song - "Splash Free"

2 days ago I introduced a sports-themed Japanese anime called "Free!" which is about a group of boys forming a swimming club at school and they swim their way up to the championships. Today I would like to introduce the music in this anime which was a hit. The first song I would like to introduce is called Splash Free which is the ending theme song.

This ending song has a nice beat which makes you want to get up and dance after the episode ends. And this is exactly what the writers did - put the characters from the anime onto the dance floor. Each character all have different personalities therefore even on the dance floor they show this through the song.

The song is "catchy" and the characters are dressed up casually unlike their usual self in the anime where they are always in swimmers in the pool. In fact, they remind me of a Korean boy band with nice hair, groovy moves, with hip style clothing.

The writers also deliberately used repetitive words towards each part so people can easily join in with the song. The tune is easy to follow and remember, no wonder it was well-loved by anime watchers during the time it was released.
