The plant's six reactors have been in cold shutdown mode since the Nova Kakhovka dam collapse. As they note the plant is not equivalent to Chernobyl. It is an entirely different design and the fuel is in a stainless steel vessel. Experts say the worst case scenario would be more equivalent to Three Mile Island, rather than Chernobyl or Fukushima.
Fwiw IAEA inspectors have not discovered mines by the reactors so far, but are continuing to ask for more access to the plant.
