The Real Secret Behind The War Between Science And Religion

Some people claim that science has all the answers, while others around the world believe that their religion is the key to understanding.  In many ways and in many ways, religion and science interact and they generally don't play well.

Some scientists say that there is no God, because of things said in the Bible. Some people don't believe the Earth is round, because of things said in the Bible.  

Science and Religion often find themselves at odds with each other, but there is a secret to understanding how they work together. They both are man-made, and so is the conflict between them.  At the very core of science, it is man's attempt to understand our world.  The core of Religion is based on man's attempt to understand God. 

Both are man-made. 

In all my searching and contemplation, I am convinced there is a God and beyond full understanding. I whole-heartedly believe our world is far more complex than man can fully comprehend. Religion and Science are our ways of understanding and our attempts to grasp the meaning of life.

We've gotten better and worse as humanity has aged. Scientifically, we are more advanced than any other civilization in recorded history. That being said, people still die of things like cancer and the flu. In 50 years, cancer deaths could be down to zero a year... how many polio cases do you know of? 

Religiously, majority of the world believes in a higher being, but the number is on the decline. With the abuse scandals in the Catholic Church and the rise of extremist factions of many religions becoming terrorists, the world's view of a higher being is shifting. 

Anything man-made will eventually fall into ruin. Countries and empires have risen and fallen. Structures built, idolized and then vanished through the hands of time. Science and Religion are just man-made, and will all eventually evolve or fall into ruin. 

What isn't man-made has existed before we have. Faith, is a connection and belief in God and something that we don't create, but discover. Atoms and planets aren't man-made, they're discovered. The more we discover about God and our World, the more we will realize that it's all connected. There is no great conflict between a higher power and our universe, the only conflict comes when we try to understand it.

Humans have categorized the understanding of one thing into two separate categories. For 500 years science and religion have led our civilization, but from this point on, with all the turmoil embracing humanity, only a more accurate understanding of our world will guide us to prosperity. 

If history has shown us one thing, it's that mankind's understanding is always inadequate.  Embrace a scientific thirst of knowledge and a discover a faithful journey while remembering that we all have so much to learn.
