Secrets of Scandinavian gods. The road of runes: Great runes of delay # 3 (Isa)

   Isa is the third of the so-called three great runes of delay (Hagalaz, Nauthiz, Isa) with the same not too favorable energy. But this is not the main thing. The main thing is an understanding of what our actions should be when we face this kind of energy.

    So, as well as Gebo, Hagalaz and Nauthiz, Isa has no inverted position. It means that the interpretation of these runes is differing from the interpretation of runes, which have inverted position. Such runes do not give a direct answer "yes" in direct position or "no" in inverted position. They rather say: "If you take my advice, everything will be fine/not too bad, and if not, then there will be troubles or no success".
   
 Isa means "ice" (in different versions: late Scandinavian - Iss, British - Is and Gothic - Eis).        While Hagalaz forces us to stand still in anticipation of the "explosion", unforeseen circumstances, and the delay in Nauthiz is due to certain circumstances, dependent position, Isa literally "freezes" the situation.    To imagine the energy of Isa, we need to imagine this ice desert. There is no movement, no development, cold paralyzes and does not allow to think and act. Thus, Isa complicates the situation, forcing us to spend much more effort to solve the problem than this problem usually requires.   

With the advent of Isa's energy, the situation becomes denser to the limit. There are no sublime feelings here, everything is very material. At the same time, the great meaning of the rune Isa is that it is the rune of the material incarnation (including the bodily embodiment of man).

  If we speak about In relationship, Isa means cooling. But it does not mean parting. Just a mutual indifference with which you can co-exist for years.
 

    If it comes to business, it means that business does not develop. Isa can also mean "frozen" accounts when money is available, but a person can not use them.

    Background Isa means almost the same as direct but situation slows down gradually.
