Nice! Thanks for sharing! I think the academic style of writing is very good point to start from. Because fiction has structure too, not that obvious though. I think academic writing is something that helps you model the more complicated fiction stories.
I'm trying to incorporate a "free form" style into my writing... Telling the story more like an oral storyteller than a structured writer. One of my favorite authors was Richard Brautigan who completely ignored rules of grammar. I don't want to go that far, but you get the idea.
Sounds inreresting. If you have a representative example of yours in hand I'd like to take a look.
