System Collapse

in #writing7 years ago

You are nothing but a unit of economic work; a means for others to accumulate vast wealth. You have no voice. You have no choice. You are an animal conditioned to live the only life you know. You keep your head down and you work for your unseen master. You have a place. You have a position. You accept that there is an authority greater than you. You accept the words of that authority. You have been informed that they know more. You are allowed to emulate freedom through pseudo-democracy. You are a carefully controlled cog in a cold machine. You have been primed what to think when you hear loaded language such as “leftist or rightwing, the Trump wall or the wall approved by congress in 2006, slashed or reduced, freedom or democracy, capitalist or communist, investment or spending”. You justify the system because you cannot see yourself outside of it. You are nothing but a unit of economic work.

...

The economic system that governs this world did not work for him. In fact it did not work for the majority of people. He only saw one viable choice; destroy the system. Many people had built their lives working for the system, and investing in it.

He questioned “Was it fair to take their ‘earned’ place away from them?”

He answered “Was it fair for them to support the system that propagates misery?”

Sure they could pretend that they had no choice in supporting it. People can make all the excuses they want, but they are the ones who decided how to live their lives. A system that starves people, keeps them away from education, misleads them, and causes innumerable social injustices has no place in HIS world. For it was his world. This world did not belong to the super rich. It belonged to everyone.

It didn’t take long for the team to form. They came from many backgrounds holding many different positions. They were all highly educated; from various fields across various positions in society. They had all been planning the same thing across different countries and different continents. Their plan was simple.

The CIA had shown them the way with over 50 years of carefully crafted terrorism. When destabilising countries the CIA would use the Linchpin theory targeting weaknesses in the system to cause total collapse. But could it be done in the Western world? The destabilisation of Ukraine by the CIA gave proof of theory as well as a horde of digital evidence to analyse. Within weeks of the Ukraine incident they began working.

He thought it was going to be a big task causing a system collapse, but the more the team worked, the more they realised it wouldn’t be that difficult. The weaknesses in the economic system were many. Inept governments and financial cannibalism had made the system an easy target. The volatility of the system meant that unlike the CIA they would not require a great deal of money. They would leave no paper trail. It would involve targeting several Linchpins. Going after one would not be enough, as Western governments would move the goal posts in regards to economic collapse, but only when it suited them.

He laughed. They weren’t the only group working on this. In fact many individuals wanted the same thing and were inadvertently pushing towards it. In a way it was proof of concept for a society that works for everyone. If a society does not work for everyone, those who it does not work for will seek to destroy it.

After studying the system, learning it in and out, and analysing every weakness, they sent letters. The letters had no fingerprints and no DNA. All they had to do was target the right individuals and groups with certain select information that would inadvertently weaken the linchpins beyond repair. After this they would merely have to wait for the right event to happen. It was that simple. There was of course some massaging of information over the internet, but that was mainly to keep the public’s perception in line with the idea of a potential crash. The economic system was highly dependent on perception.

“So is that everything?” he asked himself.

It was now a waiting game.

The team would have no contact for the foreseeable future. “Loose lips, lose ships” was their motto.

He knew what they were doing. It was war; an ideological war on the difference between right and wrong. A choice on how the animal homo sapien should be domesticated.

With multiple Linchpins slowly being eroded away it was only a matter of time until the trigger would be pulled. One by one the columns that support the system of misery would collapse. There would be no going back.

With hope he pondered "What would become of the world?"

I have often thought, "where is the resistance?" A dangerous thought.
