WHY YOU NEED THE SPIRITUAL IN YOUR LIFE

In short, a purely materialistic worldview can lead to believing in nothing other than what you can touch and see and measure with scientific instruments.

That certainly has value. I would argue immense value!

And I need to explain what I mean here. I’m not talking about unicorns pooping rainbows and ascendant masters and that kind of stuff.

By spiritual I mean the non-material aspects of normal, everyday life. For example, how you feel in any moment. Your sense of awe and wonder at existence. Your sense of knowing and engagement with the social and natural world.

Hormones, genes, & neurotransmitters don’t explain everything that happens in our lives.

Trying to define something undefinable can be a waste of time and inherently flawed, is it not?

But how else do we discuss these ideas?

I personally prefer the term Consciousness as an understanding of the Chinese word Shen. Even though we can’t define what this is, we all know what we’re talking about.

And here’s a little clue:

The material is the spiritual. The sacred and the profane are one and the same.

Taoism and Zen are explicit about this. For those of you familiar with Tarot, its the lesson of the Ace of Disks/Coins.

Even in the Quantum Universe, a particle of matter has more empty space than solid in its atoms.

Anything and everything can be spiritual: from washing the dishes, to scientific discovery. From sexuality and health, to finances and business.

The trick is to find, recognise, and reveal it to ourselves.

Those who find their hidden spirit have spontaneous beauty emerging in their lives. It can appear as finding your ideal partner, increases of energy and libido, and better personal outcomes.

So where in your life is lacking spirit?

How different would it be if spirit infused that area of your life?

This is the direction work is taking me. It’s not *woo-woog… it’s wu-wei.

And that’s what I am going to show people how to find…
