A neural network devouring your faces — or why have we been taught to take a selfie

I continue a series of my articles on conspiracy theological topics. I warn you that this is only my opinion and my guesses. This is more likely food for thought than a proven theory. I just suggest you think about it together.

Today we’ll talk about social networks, in particular about Instagram and the culture that has captured the whole world. This is a selfie culture.

In fact, the concept of selfie was even before social networks. This concept came from the forums, then was forgotten, but with the advent of social networks it revived with a new force. I remember how everyone massively started taking selfies in 2012. People fooled around, held selfie contests and more. It seemed that there was nothing wrong with that, but then Instagram appeared.

Selfies began to be promoted as a new youth culture. I visited a new place - take a selfie, came to your parents - take a selfie, met a friend - take a selfie. Famous personalities of all ages, actors, musicians joined in this. And people with great pressure began to take selfies, it became a kind of religion or drug.

I remember about 6 years ago I traveled to the Carpathians (a mountainous region in Ukraine). One foreign tourist wanted to take a selfie at a waterfall. The man fell, slipped, hit his head on the stones and died. This is not the first or last case when the habit of taking a selfie replaced the instinct of self-preservation.

What am I leading to?

Remember the old science fiction films where there were cameras in the city that saw a person through and through? Just one glance of the camera and the screen displays information: gender, age, name, occupation, address. So, this is not fiction, but real reality!

Now let's pay attention to instagram. This is a huge database with persons, names and data of people. What data is there? Name, surname, phone number, location (by the way, it shows where you come from right up to the house where you are) and most importantly, a photo.

For several years of using Instagram there is a photo of a person with a beard, without a beard, in glasses, with dyed hair, with his own hair, a photo in different lighting, at different times of the day and from different angles.

Now imagine that there is a certain neural network into which Instagram merges all its data. Tons of photos with your faces. This neural network summarizes all your photos and recognizes you, no matter how you look, at any time of the day.

And now you walk along the street, where cameras are hung on every corner. You do not want to be recognized, for this you put on a hood, black glasses and, suppose, glue yourself a beard. But neurosyse still recognizes you and displays all the necessary information about you. That’s why I don’t take selfies and do not use Instagram.

Is it really there? No one knows. But worth considering.

@movingman, what do you think about this? )

People take selfies because they are indoctrinated in modern humanist nonsense to think their mundane "individual" experiences have relevance in social sphere. Selfies are nothing more than an expression of narcissitic, Western capitalist, pornographic social culture that predominantly stresses self-gratification. There is no "conspiracy" to collect data, as the idiot drones naturally step-over each other, screaming to be noticed, by informing society of their mundane, useless, irrelevant existence in hourly updates on their "social media" sites. In fact, the portable cameras on mobile phones were not faced towards the user, until the manufacturers noticed the inordinate amount of narcissistic self-worship in the users, several years into producing these mobile phone gadgets. Contrary to popular myths, those who govern have little to no interest in the plebian lifestyles of their drones.

Hello! I did not mean the conspiracy as something mysterious and terrible. This is not actually a conspiracy. It is truth.

I recently attended a lecture by an engineer who collects data. There he told how the system analyzes the photos from the instagram and predicts the income and status of a person, so that later advertisers would show him relevant ads.

The system also analyzes photos of pregnant girls on Instagram and even determines the month of pregnancy. That is, the child has not yet been born, but the system knows when to offer mothers baby products.

The purpose of the article is not to reveal a secret. The purpose of the article is to tell that all photos are collected, summarized and analyzed. Today they are sold for advertising, tomorrow the police, the day after tomorrow - who knows.
