While the former two are an everyday occurrence as goods and services exchange hands, the third often hits me with a surge, and i bawl.

People put together all the money they have, and creep to the hospitals to plead with the Doctor, to take it and save their lives.
Doctor please do this operation for me; i'm begging you.
It means they die oo, if their pleas don't cut it.

To me, it isn't even cool for any individual to pay such bills themselves. Buy your own shoes, your own cars, whatever... But when your life is in danger, let your loved one bring you back from the brink. There's no deeper way to show love, is there?

Like the young lady that is earning... she's carefully saving money for food, for rent, for a car...
Out of her 70k salary, she's also saving for the procedure to remove the lump in her breast, or fibroid, or cyst...
What a battle to survive!

This post is dedicated to a certain young man somewhere in this Abuja... Dunno him, never seen him, but his story flew past my ear.
Last week or so, he was fine, hale and hearty... His friend was riding a bike, parks it, he goes and climbs to just try it out.
He has a terrible fall... and in the hospital they tell him 300k or kiss your left limb goodbye!

Warn them to stay outta harms way, cuz if their lives are in danger it's you who they create problems for.
It is you who will save them.
